Consumption comes at a cost beyond measurable

I'm a researcher at heart.  I love to find a topic and dig in to understand that at the fullest extent.  In doing research on fabrics, I came across this article and it made me ponder and question my thoughts on cotton.

I haven't made up my mind as to how much weight I give to the history of violence attached to cotton.  I don't know enough if that violence is still there but I will find out and share my findings with you.  But something happened in the past, I'm not sure if I hold on to that rather than moving forward when things change.  It's important not to forget what happened but is it still important to hold on to the past and make decisions today from what happened in the past?

What do you think?  Here's a great discussion topic.  Let me know what you think.
